Watch the Parade

Due to the weather forecast, the Olweus Bullying Prevention Kickoff Parade has been postponed to Friday, September 16.

John G. Carlisle will hold its fifth annual Olweus Bullying Prevention Kickoff Parade on Friday, September 16 at 9:00 a.m.  All third, fourth, and fifth grade classes will march in the parade. Kindergarten, first, and second grade classes will remain on campus to cheer. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the parade and walk with your children  or simply watch and cheer.

John G. Carlisle is committed to ensuring that all students feel safe at school. Highlights of the program include weekly classroom meetings to build a sense of community within the classroom, taking the anti-bullying pledge, using bully buster cards for students to report when bullying is occurring, rewarding students with fantastic friend awards to promote doing kind deeds for one another, and allowing students to join the Bully Buster Club for standing up to bullying.

Due to construction on 7th street between Madison Ave. and Scott Street, the parade route will be as follows:

From JGC parking lot;

* Right on West Robbins

* Right on Holman

* Right on Pike

* Merge from Pike to 7th St.

* Right on Madison Ave.

* Right on 8th St.

* Left on Russell

* Right on West Robbins

* Right into JGC lot.

Please support the students and cheer them on along the route.
