Covington Superintendent Alvin Garrison delivered the keynote address to more than 250 Kentucky high school student ambassadors Saturday at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar at Transylvania University. The ambassadors included Holmes High School students Tatiana Phillips and Molly Morgan.
In addition, three volunteers from Covington schools attended the seminar – Brian Benito, a 2017 Holmes High School graduate and Glenn O. Swing Elementary teachers, Karissa Pickens and Elizabeth Bravo.
The mission of the youth leadership program is to inspire and develop youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. Students are selected by their schools to participate in the program that provides leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.
