Welcome to John G. Carlisle Elementary School and our website. I hope you will find useful information about our programs, services and upcoming events on our website.

A significant focus is placed on building foundational reading skills. All students in kindergarten participate in learning to read programs called Language for Learning and Reading Mastery.

Our campus includes a large outdoor play area, a shelter for outdoor lessons, and an inviting expanse of green space where our primary students regularly engage in planned physical activity.  After school, students have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities in our Community Learning Center. The Community Learning Center also facilitates a variety of enrichment opportunities for students and families including Lunch Buddies and After School Mentors and Family Fun Nights.

Our Family Resource Center provides a variety of assistance to students and families with the goal of helping remove barriers to learning. Parents and guardians receive weekly one calls with important information about events for the upcoming week.  

We are fortunate and grateful to have community support from our Business Education Success Team (BEST) Partner, US Bank.
