Covington Independent Public Schools is taking part in a research study regarding emergency drills in their schools. The study, conducted by researchers from Xavier and Northern Kentucky Universities, seeks to find out more about your child's feelings about tornado, fire, and active shooter drills. Superintendent Alvin Garrison has approved this survey. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
During the week of October 14, 2019, students in 4th through 12th grades are invited to take part in the voluntary survey. Students were sent home a parental opt-out form concerning the specifics of the study. If do not want your child to participate, please click here (English) or (Spanish) for a copy of the opt our letter, fill out the corresponding form, and return to your child’s school by Thursday, October 10.
