Soccer Players Sign With Spalding

Kerry Nolasco and Josh Lemus

Congratulations to Holmes High School seniors Kerry Nolasco and Josh Lemus on signing a letter of intent to play soccer at Spalding University.

“I am so incredibly proud of Josh and Kerry and what they have accomplished over their career at Holmes.  This past season was our most successful in school history thanks to their hard work, determination and leadership.  I cannot wait to watch them play at Spalding University,” said head soccer coach Tom Haggard.

This past season Josh scored 16 goals including critical goals against Dixie, Highlands and Beechwood.  He also added 6 assists to finish one of the Top 25 scorers in all of Greater Cincinnati.  He finished his Holmes High School soccer career with 29 goals and 15 assists – placing 9th on the all-time scoring list.

Kerry is one of the most decorated players in program history being named to the 35th District All-Tournament Team and chosen by NKY coaches as 3rd Team All-Region.  He finished his high school soccer career with 38 goals and 24 assists including 15 goals and 8 assists during this season. He now places 6th on the all-time scoring list in Holmes history.

Along with Roy Carter, Josh and Kerry were also selected to represent Holmes High School and the 9th Region on Wednesday, June 7 at 6 p.m. at the NKY Boys Soccer Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game.  The game will be played at Tower Park in Ft. Thomas.

Congratulations Kerry and Josh!
