Covington Schools Employees Receive Excellence in Education Awards

Congratulations to our 2022 Excellence in Education award winners.

Brian Moore, Holmes High School teacher, received a Golden Apple Award. The Golden Apple Award honors elementary, middle, and high school teachers in Northern Kentucky that are exceptional educators and respected leaders.

Mike Shipley, Latonia Elementary counselor, received the Student Services Award. The Student Services Award recognizes faculty members that have been responsible for counseling innovations or further development of programs to support the academic, social/emotional, and career development of all students.

Monique Taylor, Ninth District Elementary Nutrition Service Assistant, received the Extraordinary Service Award. The Extraordinary Service Award recognizes a non-administrative, support staff member that exhibits extraordinary service, makes a positive difference, has a heart for people, and leads by example.
