Congratulations to the Holmes Wrestling Team who qualified for the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches Association State Duals Championships for the first time in school history on Saturday by finishing second at the 1A Sectional Tournament.

The Bulldogs posted a 3-1 record, defeating Newport 52-18, Louisville Western 42-36, and Covington Catholic 42-24. Holmes dropped a 52-24 dual to Walton-Verona in the championship.

KYWCA State Duals will be held on Saturday, January 28 at Nelson County High School in Bardstown, and will feature the top twelve 1A teams in Kentucky. Wrestling begins at 10 a.m.

The Bulldogs will wrestle at home this Wednesday, January 11 at 6 p.m. vs. Highlands and Mason County and on Senior Night, Wednesday, February 1 at 6 p.m. against Scott and Boone County. Come out and cheer on the Bulldogs.
