Athletics Department

The Athletics Department proudly serves to develop, enhance, and maintain quality athletic programs in Covington Independent Public Schools. The district offers a wide array of sporting programs which offers our student-athletes the opportunity to learn sportsmanship and to excel in their sport of choice. We all know that athletics are more than just sports as studies show that students who participate in athletics grow socially, improve their leadership skills and benefit from their contact with positive mentors.  That is why our department strives to promote athletic experiences that contribute to the entire educational process of our scholars. We follow Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) policies and bylaws. In addition, we provide leadership and serve as an information resource to school administration, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and community members to inform and enforce district and state policies and procedures. The Athletics Department is located at Holmes High School.
