Be a Hero. Read together daily!
Read Ready Covington is an early literacy initiative sponsored by the City of Covington in partnership with Covington’s public and parochial schools, public library, Housing Authority, Housing Consortium, Health Department, social service and childcare sites, and businesses.
The goals are to increase:
- Kindergarten readiness and preschool early literacy experiences
- Covington students’ reading at or above grade level by end of 3rd grade
- Literacy as a priority and shared community value.
Early reading and communication skills will set students on a better course to complete their school career with strong workforce skills and greater opportunities to participate fully in the community.
