Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures: Drop-off is at the main front doors. Students may not arrive before 7:25 a.m. For dismissal, each family has a dismissal #. Car riders will exit the front doors, and walkers will exit the backdoor
Breakfast Time: Beginning at 7:25 a.m.
Lunch Time: 10:50 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.

Extracurriculars and Sports: Basketball, Soccer, and Cheerleading are offered for all 4/5 grade students. All sign-ups are announced in morning assembly, Class Dojo, and social media.
After School Program: Wildcat Club begins on Monday, August 31. Programming is 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. 1st hour is academic-focused and 2nd hour is enrichment. Contact Mr. Piner to register: william.piner@covington.kyschools.us.

School Supply List: John G. Carlisle Elementary is providing school supplies to students this year. Teachers will have wish lists of other items that might be helpful in the classroom for those parents who want to provide items.
Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures: John G. Carlisle has three drop-off locations. One for walkers, one for car-riders, and one for bus riders.
If students arrive by car, they will enter the back parking lot by way of Robbins Street and proceed to the car line. The parking lot is one way. Please do not enter by way of Banklick. The staff in the parking lot will direct parents and guardians through the car line. Students may only exit the car when they are in the area directly by the building. They should exit the car on the side closest (left-hand side) to the building. Staff members are present to help students.
Students who walk will enter the playground gate from Pike Street. There is a crossing guard present on Pike Street.
A staff member will be at the door on the playground to greet students.
Bus riders arrive on the Banklick side of the building. A staff member meets them at the bus and walks them to the door.
Breakfast Time: Students may enter for breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
Lunch Time: 10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures: Student drop off is in front of school on Indiana Ave. All students enter through the front door.
Pick Up: K-2 will be picked up in the gymnasium, 3-5 will be released after bus riders have been dismissed, picked up out front of school on the sidewalk of Indiana Ave.

Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures: Drop-off is near the front office. Sixth District has three different ways to release students.
All students have a dismissal number.
If a student is a walker, they do not need a dismissal card to exit the grounds, and they exit on the 19th Street side. (Students must be 3rd grade and up unless they have a sibling or someone else in the school to walk with.)
If a student is a parent pickup, then the parent will have a tag with the same number as the student that will be picked up. The parent walks up to the gates by the front office. If they do not have their tag, they must go to the front office to be identified.
If a student is a car rider, then parents will also have a tag, and it will be the same number as the student. They will line up on the 19th Street side of the building. Parents will not get out of the vehicle; students will be escorted to the vehicle. If they do not have their tag, they must go to the front office to be identified.

Students are to come to the main office to request a physical form and to let our secretary know what sport you want to sign-up for so she can contact the coach of the sport or director of the CLC After-School Program. Any athlete that plays a sport and wants to remain after-school for practice or a game must join our CLC After-School Program and attend until their practice.
