Softball Season Starts with New Field

Mitchell-Wolfe Softball Field was officially unveiled on Friday, March 20, ahead of the Lady Bulldogs’ matchup against Augusta. The evening couldn’t have been better, with perfect weather and a great turnout of fans. Named in honor of former Holmes High School teachers and coaches Joan Mitchell and Donna Wolfe, the field also welcomed back alumni softball players, who were recognized prior to the game. Holmes principal Angie Turnick delivered the ceremonial first pitch, and the ROTC presented the colors. The Lady Bulldogs capped off the night with an impressive 18–3 victory. Go Bulldogs!
